Country fans are already growing familiar with Sheryl Crow’s first country single, “Easy,” which has been climbing the charts since first released earlier this year. Now that song has a ‘home.’ Today, Crow announced a release date and title for her anticipated, first-ever full-on country music album. Titled Feels Like Home, it’s her eighth studio album and is set for release Sept. 10.
“It wasn’t until I moved here that I realized what an amazing community it is,” the GRAMMY-winning singer-songwriter said in a press statement, regarding working on Feels Like Home in Nashville. “It’s the thing I’ve been missing my whole career, the feeling of being able to sit around with a guitar and have people know each other’s songs and know songs from people who’ve influenced all of us. When I moved here pretty early on Vince Gill started calling me to do guitar pulls, and I thought, gosh, this is just like heaven on earth down here.”
The album was produced by Justin Niebank, and Crow wrote each of the albums 12 tracks with another writer–a first for her–including one (“Waterproof Mascara”) penned with Brad Paisley.
